Covid-19 has sucked
Like “what the actual fuck”
I miss my family and friends
But all the love I do send
I have drank my weight in champagne
Honestly, It’s the only thing keeping me sane
Trina has been raising her baby and her hubby
All moms know she needs the bubbly
Jess has been working from home with her ghost
Oh wait, you didn’t see her post?
And me? I am a hot mess express
Boy have I been under some stress.
Oh and I have kept a child alive
And I think I’ve been a pretty damn good wife.
But I think we have realized what matters
As the world around us shatters
From tornados, to pandemics, to power outages, and more
Well in hindsight, at least the year hasn’t been a bore
You know what? I am thankful.
Seems like this pandemic was fateful.
It showed us to look for the good in others,
Our friends, our families and especially our mothers
Material things don’t matter-
It’s the people you care for
– they really mean way more
Let’s focus on the positive and be optimistic
Hopefully we have learned to be more simplistic
We’ve learned to live every day as a celebration
And to learn more about self transformation
So here’s to 2020
We are grateful for plenty
The champagne way was #1
What? You didn’t know that hon?
Oh and we have drank a lot.
